Icar - Direcotrate Of Groundnut Research

We are based out here in Junagadh on Ivnagar Road. This place is the ICAR - Directorate of Groundnut Research, and we’ve been working with groundnuts for a long time. It’s a lot of field work and looking at crops. We aren't a regular business selling things for profit; it’s more about the plants and the soil. The office is at Pb.No.5, and it’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the city center. We spend our days checking on samples and talking to farmers about their yields. It’s honest work, and it can be quite slow at times when we’re waiting for things to grow in the experimental plots. The sun gets really hot in Junagadh, so we try to do the outdoor stuff early. Most of us here just like being around the dirt and seeing how the groundnuts are doing this year. We have some labs and some desks, but the real work happens in the dirt. It’s not a place for fancy suits or corporate meetings. We wear practical clothes and just get on with it. Sometimes the equipment is old, but it still works well enough for what we need. We’ve had many people come through these doors over the years, all interested in the same thing. It’s just how things are done here at the directorate. We keep our heads down and focus on the research and the plants themselves.
