Down here on Mitadi Road in Manavadar, things are usually pretty dusty. Our ginning and pressing facility has been a part of the Junagadh landscape for a long time. It’s hard work, especially when the season is in full swing and the trucks are lined up outside with loads of raw cotton. The machinery is loud and it never seems to stop once we get going. We spend most of our days covered in lint and checking the press to make sure everything is working like it should. It’s not a clean or quiet job, but it’s what people do in this part of the country. We don't have a fancy office; it’s mostly just a small room with a desk where we keep the logs. Most of the guys here have been working these machines for years and can tell if something is wrong just by the sound it makes. The sun gets hot in the afternoons, and the shed can feel like an oven, but we keep the fans going and just get on with it. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to keep the facility running and the bales moving out. It’s basic, honest labor, and we don't feel the need to dress it up with big words or promises. We just work until the day is done and start again the next morning.
