Asha Prints

Asha Prints is tucked away at 64-A in the Heavy Industrial Area. It’s a busy part of town, filled with the sound of big machines. Our spot is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We’ve got the printing presses set up and they take up most of the floor space. There isn't much room for a fancy waiting area, so people usually just come straight into the work zone. It can get a bit ink-stained and messy, but that’s just the nature of printing. We have a few long-term staff members who have been here since the beginning. We don’t really go in for big advertisements or anything like that. People find us because they know where 64-A is. The industrial area can be a bit overwhelming for some, with all the trucks and the heavy activity, but we find it’s the best place for this kind of work. We don't have to worry about being too loud. Every morning we come in, check the orders, and start the machines. It’s a steady pace. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the ink and the paper. Sometimes the machines act up, and we spend the afternoon with a wrench in hand. It’s not glamorous, but it’s our living and we’re used to the smell of the shop. Even with the noise and the dust, we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We just do our work and go home to our families at the end of the day.
