Pioneer Food Plaza

Old City Pota Main Road 90 is where we spend all our time. Pioneer Food Plaza is located in a very old part of town where the lanes are narrow. There is always someone walking by the front door. The building is old and the walls are thick. We have a few lights that we keep on all day because the sunlight does not reach the back of the shop very well. The noise from Pota Main Road is something we have just learned to ignore. We spend the morning getting everything prepared for the lunch crowd. It gets tight in here when more than five people come in at once. We do not have any big corporate rules, we just do what needs to be done. Sometimes we forget to change the date on the board. The kitchen area is small but we manage to keep it organized. People from the nearby shops come in to get away from the heat for a few minutes. We have a regular routine of cleaning the stove and checking the fridge. The floor is slightly uneven in the middle. We do not try to be anything we are not. It is just a place to get something to eat while you are moving through the Old City. We close the heavy shutter at night and walk home through the same narrow streets.
