Out here on Road No. 10 in Basni 2nd Phase, things are pretty industrial. Our place is G-573, and you’ll know you’re close when you start hearing the sounds of metal and tools. It gets quite hot in the workshop during the summer months, but we’ve got the fans going as much as possible. We work on a lot of different forms and pieces here, mostly getting our hands dirty with the materials. There is usually a layer of dust on the floor by noon, no matter how much we sweep. It’s a practical space, built for making things rather than showing them off. We have different sections for cutting, shaping, and finishing. Sometimes the machines are a bit temperamental, and we have to spend a morning fixing a belt or oiling the parts. It’s just part of the daily grind. We aren't a big factory with thousands of workers; it’s just a dedicated crew that knows how to handle the equipment. Most of us have been in Basni for years and we know the other guys on the road. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If someone comes by, they usually just find us in the back with our sleeves rolled up. We take the work as it comes and try to get it done without making any big mistakes. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning till evening.
