Dhoot Dal Mills

Our mill is located at F-287 in the M.I.A. Basni Phase II area. Just like the other units around us, we are right in the middle of the industrial hub of Jodhpur. Being a dal mill, our days are filled with the sound of heavy machinery processing pulses. There is always a fine layer of grain dust in the air and the constant hum of the sorters and grinders. We spend our time overseeing the intake of raw pulses and watching the bags get filled up for transport. It’s physical work and the environment is very practical. We don't have air conditioning in the main areas, so we rely on big fans and the open doors. The office is just a small corner where we keep the ledgers and handle the billing. Dhoot Dal Mills isn't a fancy corporate setup; it’s a place of labor and routine. We start early in the morning when the trucks arrive and often stay until the last load is ready. The workers here are local people who know the machines inside out. We don't have big marketing plans or anything. We just focus on the grain coming in and the dal going out. It’s a simple cycle that we’ve been following for a long time. Lunch is usually a quick break before we get back to the noise. It’s hard work, but it’s what we have done for many years now.
