Mattan Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Mattan Farmers Producer Company Limited and we operate out of Bahadurgarh. The official spot is at 241 in Jhajjar. It’s a straightforward setup. We are just a bunch of local farmers who saw that things were getting tougher and decided to team up. Bahadurgarh is a busy area, but the farming side of things still follows the same old rhythm of the seasons. We spend most of our time out on the land, but we use the office to get our plans in order. It’s not some polished corporate environment. It’s usually got a bit of dust on the floor from people coming in from the fields. We talk about what to plant and how to get the best out of the ground we have. Some of the elders in the village give us advice, and the younger guys handle the registration and the boring parts of running a company. We just wanted to make sure we weren't at the mercy of every middleman who comes around. It feels better to have a bit of control over our own harvests. We’ve all known each other since we were kids, so there’s a lot of trust between us. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s about making a living and keeping the farms in the family. Life in Jhajjar moves at its own pace and we just move with it.
