Over at number 161 in the village of Dhanirwas, that is where you will find us. Dhanirwas Farmers Producer Company Limited is basically just the local folks from around Matanhail Tehsil getting together. We’ve all been farming these same patches of dirt for generations, so it made sense to start doing things as a group. The village is quiet, and most of our days are spent out in the open air. We don't have a big fancy sign or a reception desk. You just walk up to the house and someone will be around, probably covered in dust from the fields. It is a lot of hard work, especially when the rains are late or the wind is too strong. We grow what the land allows and we try to help each other out when someone’s tractor breaks down or they need an extra hand with the harvest. Matanhail is a good area for farming, but it takes a lot out of you. We are just regular people trying to make a living from the soil. Our meetings are usually held outside under the shade of a tree where it’s cooler. There is always a lot of talk about market prices and the cost of fertilizer. It isn't a glamorous life, but it is honest and it’s what we know. We just keep our heads down and get the job done every day. There is always something new to learn with every season.
