We decided to start this company because we were tired of being the last ones to get paid and the first ones to take all the risk when things went wrong. Now, as a collective group, we have a bit more say in what happens to our produce. Jhajjar is our home, and we want to see the farmers here doing a bit better than they used to. Our office is just a room in the village where we keep our ledgers and have our evening meetings. It’s not anything special to look at if you were passing by. You’ll usually see a few tractors or motorcycles parked nearby. We don't have any big marketing speeches or corporate polish. We just grow what we can and try to sell it for a price that lets us keep the lights on. It’s a tough life sometimes, but we like the independence it gives us. Working together at Lakhyan has helped us learn more about the business side of things. We are just regular people trying to make the most of our land.
