Ramakrishna Mission English School

Over on L Road in the Bistupur area of Jamshedpur, you’ll find Ramakrishna Mission English School. It’s a familiar sight for anyone who lives or works around here. The building has a lot of history and you can see it in the architecture and the way the rooms are laid out. We get a lot of students coming in every morning from different parts of Jamshedpur. L Road is usually quite busy, so there’s a lot of coming and going at the start and end of the day. Inside, the school is kept as orderly as possible, though with so many kids around, there is always a bit of a mess to clean up at the end of the day. We have the usual subjects and the teachers work through the curriculum at a steady pace. It’s a traditional kind of place. We don't have flashy gadgets in every corner, just the essentials needed for a school to function properly. The staff room is always full of tea cups and piles of marking. Ramakrishna Mission English School has been on L Road for a long time, and we just keep doing things the way they’ve always been done. People in Bistupur know where to find us. We don't do much in the way of advertising. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the students are where they should be when the bell rings. It is a lot of work to keep a school of this size running on L Road, but we have a good routine down.
