Rahera village in Ghansawangi is where you’ll find us. Our spot is at House Number 165, right in the middle of things. We’re a group of local farmers from the Jalna district who got tired of trying to handle everything separately. Farming is tough enough as it is without having to worry about the logistics and finding buyers all by yourself. So, we set up Vedakshi to give us a bit more pull in the market. Most days are pretty busy around here. We’re either out checking on the crops or talking to the other members about what we’re going to plant next season. It’s a simple operation, really. We don’t have any fancy marketing people or big corporate plans. We just want to make sure our families can keep living off the land like they always have. When you come out to Rahera, you’ll see how we work. It’s dusty, it’s noisy sometimes when the machinery is going, but it’s real work. We deal with whatever the season brings us, from grain to whatever else is growing well in the Jalna soil. Sometimes things go wrong, like a machine breaking down or the rain coming too late, but we just figure it out as we go. It’s about being practical and helping each other out when things get hard. We’re just a bunch of neighbors working together to make sure our village stays on its feet and our farming stays viable for the next generation.
