A few of us from around here decided to pool our resources and start this company to help manage our harvests better. Jalna is a place where people know the value of hard work, and we try to bring that attitude to everything we do. We aren't a big outfit with a lot of money. Most of our days are spent dealing with the practicalities of farming and moving produce from one place to another. We have a small office space where we keep our files and meet up to discuss what to plant next. It’s often a bit messy with paperwork and samples of grain or seeds. We don't worry too much about how things look; we just care about getting the work done. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the phones don't work well, but that’s just part of life here. We all know each other well, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed, even when we are busy. We’re just trying to make a go of it as a group. It’s tough to compete with the big guys, but we think being local and knowing our neighbors gives us a different perspective. We’ve been at this for a while now and we plan to keep working here in Jalna.
