Ramkala Organic Food Producer Company Limited is located at Kachru Ramkisan Pungle’s house in Itatq, within the Bhokardan area of Jalna. We are a group of local farmers who focus on organic food. We don't have a big factory or a polished storefront. Our operations are run out of the village, where we live and work. We started this because we wanted to grow food the old-fashioned way, without all the chemicals. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes to get the yields we want, but it seems better for the soil in the long run. The company is basically just us meeting up at Kachru’s place to figure out where we’re going to sell our stuff. It’s not a fancy boardroom; it’s usually just a few chairs and some tea. We deal with the usual problems like pests and dry spells, and we try to solve them as a group. Everyone in the company is a farmer first and a business person second. We aren't great at the paperwork side of things, but we make sure it gets done so we can keep operating. Being based in Itatq means we are right where the food is grown, so we don't have to travel far to see how things are going. It’s a modest way to run a business, but it works for our community in Jalna. We just want to keep growing good food and stay in business for a long time to come.
