Padmalaya Bhojan Gruh is tucked away in Jalgaon Bazar, specifically behind the New Stand. Being behind the bus stand means we get a lot of people who are just arriving in town or waiting for their next bus. It’s a basic place meant for eating a proper meal. We don’t have a big fancy menu with names you can't pronounce. It’s just the kind of food we grew up eating at home. The kitchen is always busy because people are usually in a hurry to catch their transport. We try to keep up with the rush without making a big deal out of it. The tables are simple and the space is clean, which is what most people are looking for. We don't spend money on advertising because the bus stand brings enough people to our door. It’s a family-run feel here, and we all pitch in with the cooking and cleaning. Some days are really hot in Jalgaon, so we just keep the fans going and keep working. It’s not a glamorous job but it’s what we do for a living. If you’re ever stuck waiting for a bus at the New Stand, you can find us just around the back.
