Cafe Madras

We are located in the Old Stadium Complex, specifically units 14 and 15, on MG Road in Jalgaon. It’s a busy area in Jilha Peth, especially because we’re right opposite the State Bank of India. You see people coming in with their bank paperwork all the time, looking like they need a break. The stadium complex has been around for a long time, so the building has that old-school Jalgaon feel to it. It’s not the most modern place, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. We’ve been serving the local crowd here for a good while. MG Road is always humming with scooters and people walking by, so there’s never a quiet moment. We keep the doors open to let some air in, though that means the city sounds come in too. Inside, the tables are simple wood, and we don't bother with fancy decorations. We focus more on just getting the food out to the people who are hungry. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when the lunch rush hits, as there are only a few of us working here. Most of the people who come in are regulars who work in the nearby shops or at the bank. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We don’t try to be something we’re not. It’s just Cafe Madras, sitting right there in the stadium complex.
