Sohi Engineering Works

If you take a turn onto G. T. Road in Model Town, you will find Sohi Engineering Works at -143, Sec-23-A. It is a busy stretch of road, so there is always the sound of trucks and cars passing by outside our gate. Inside, it is a different kind of noise. We deal with a lot of engineering stuff, mostly metal work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. The shop floor is usually crowded with materials and half-finished projects. We don't spend much time worrying about how the place looks to outsiders, as long as the machines are running and the jobs are getting finished on time. My hands are usually pretty dirty by noon, and the same goes for the rest of the guys here. We have a small corner where we keep the stove for making tea, which is probably the most important part of the afternoon when the energy starts to dip. The building has seen better days, and the paint is peeling a bit near the ceiling, but it holds up fine against the rain and sun. We have some old machines that still work better than the new ones, and we know exactly how to kick them when they get stubborn. People come to us because they know we are right here on the main road and we don't make a fuss about the work. It is a simple life, really, just doing what we know how to do without any fancy talk or expensive brochures.
