Humma Engineering

Humma Engineering is located at D-37 in the Sports & Surgical Complex on Kapurthala Road. It’s an interesting area because there are so many different kinds of workshops nearby. We focus on engineering work, which mostly means we have a few lathes and milling machines that we use to make parts for other businesses. The shop floor is usually a bit of a mess with metal shavings and oil cans everywhere. We aren’t too worried about how it looks as long as the parts we make are accurate. I started this place with a couple of friends, and we still do a lot of the manual labor ourselves. Kapurthala Road is usually busy, so there’s always something going on outside our doors. We don't have a fancy reception area. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually just walk straight into the workshop and find me near the back. Sometimes we get complicated jobs that take us all night to figure out, and other times it’s just simple repetitive work. We’ve had some of the same customers for years because they know we will just get the job done without any fuss. We don’t use any big marketing slogans or have a sales team. We just show up, turn on the machines, and see what needs to be finished by the end of the day. It’s a basic life, but we like being our own bosses.
