Mandeep Engineering Works (Jalandhar)

Our workshop is located at 87-88 Aman Nagar, right across from the Vishvarkam Mandir here in Jalandhar. You can often hear the bells from the temple while we’re working on the machines. It’s a decent area, quite busy with people coming and going. Mandeep Engineering Works is just a straightforward place where we do metal work and repairs. We’ve got a couple of lathes and some other gear that’s seen better days but still runs fine. The walls are stained with oil and there’s metal shavings on the ground, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of the job. Most of the people who come to us are locals who need something fixed or a specific part made. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. We talk about the local news, drink a lot of tea, and just keep at it. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought because the metal is being stubborn, but we don't give up on it. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, and our clothes are always a bit dirty, but it feels good to finish a project. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just do engineering work in a small shop by the temple and try to keep the machines humming.
