M/S.Dwarka Engineering Company

Our shop is at Plot No. 870 in Arjun Nagar. We are right on the SD College Road, so we see all the students walking by every morning. Being near SD College in Jalandhar makes it easy to give directions to people who haven't been here before. Dwarka Engineering has been a fixture here for quite a while now. We do a lot of heavy work, mostly with iron and steel. The building is an old one and it has that smell of burnt metal and cooling oil that never really goes away. We start early before the sun gets too high because the shop gets quite warm once the machines are running. Most of us grew up around here in Jalandhar. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. If someone needs a part fabricated or a machine fixed, they just walk in through the front gate and talk to us. Sometimes we are so busy with a project that we don't even hear the phone ringing over the noise of the grinders. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our little plot stays pretty much the same. It is a lot of hard work and we usually end the day with sore backs and dirty hands. We just like making things that last. There isn't much more to it than that. We just show up and work until it is dark.
