Maingi Exports

You can find Maingi Exports right opposite the Central Bank of India in the Industrial Estate. Being in the industrial area means there is always a lot of noise, hammers clanging and machines running, but it’s where we belong. We deal with exports, which sounds a lot more glamorous than it actually is. Most of our time is spent in the warehouse area checking the quality of the items before they get packed into boxes. My father started this a long time ago, and I just took over the day-to-day stuff. The office is small, just enough room for a computer and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. We don’t have a website that’s updated every day or anything like that. We just focus on making sure the orders go out on time. The Industrial Estate is a practical place. People here don't care much for fancy talk; they just want to know if you have the goods ready. Sometimes we run into issues with the shipping agents or the weather delays the trucks, and we have to spend the whole afternoon on the phone. It’s just how it goes. We drink a lot of chai and keep the fans running during the summer. It’s a simple setup, but it’s ours and we’ve been here long enough that everyone knows the Maingi name. We just keep our heads down and get the crates moving.
