We are based out of a building on the G.T. Road Bye Pass, right near the Focal Point area. It’s an industrial part of town, so it isn't the prettiest place to work, but it suits what we do. Sun Impex India Pvt. Ltd. has been here for a good number of years. The road outside is a main artery, so we hear the constant drone of trucks and heavy vehicles going past. Our daily work involves a lot of importing and exporting, which means dealing with mountains of paperwork and checking shipping containers. The office is just a small partitioned area in the back of the warehouse. It’s not climate-controlled, so we feel the bite of the winter and the heat of the summer quite clearly. We don't have expensive furniture or a fancy lobby. We just have our desks, some old computers, and a kettle for coffee. Much of our time is spent on the phone trying to track down shipments or talking to vendors. Sometimes things don't go according to plan and we have to scramble to fix mistakes. Our neighbors are all in similar businesses, so we often see the same people at the local food stall during lunch. It’s a straightforward, hardworking environment. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We just want to get the goods moved and keep our records in order. It is a long day but we get through it together.
