Jiwan Dass & Sons

Jiwan Dass & Sons has been operating out of 58, Vijay Nagar for quite some time. It’s a house that turned into a workplace as the years went by. You can tell it used to be a home because of the layout. We like it that way, though. It feels more comfortable than those cold office blocks downtown. There are usually a few of us around, mostly family. We take care of the daily business ourselves. No outsourcing or big teams. If there's a problem, we fix it. If a customer calls, they talk to one of us directly. Vijay Nagar is a nice area, fairly quiet compared to the main city. We’ve got a small sign out front, nothing too flashy. Most of our day is spent at the desks or talking in the courtyard. We don't have a lot of rules about how things should look. As long as the work gets finished, we’re happy. The filing cabinets are getting a bit full, and we should probably clear some space, but we never seem to get around to it. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We’ve been part of the community here for a long time. People know the name Jiwan Dass & Sons. We just keep things moving, day in and day out. It’s not a complicated life, but it’s ours. We don't plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon.
