Ahuja Exports

Ahuja Exports sits right on Kapurthala Road in the Basti Bawa Khel area. It’s a busy spot with trucks going by all day. We spend most of our time dealing with shipments going out to different places. Some days are quieter than others, but mostly there is a lot of stuff moving around. The office isn't very big and we have piles of paperwork on the desks. We've been in this part of town for a long time now. People around here know where we are. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It is just how things go here. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a work space where we handle the export side of things. My cousin helps out with the packing sometimes when it gets really busy. We try to stay on top of the orders but things can get a bit hectic. The rain sometimes leaks through the back door but we just put a bucket there. It’s a real place with real people working hard. We don't spend money on shiny signs. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers and making sure the labels are right. It is a simple life but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s when we take a break. It is enough to keep us going.
