Being near the railway station at 55-56, Mandi Fenton Ganj means things are never quiet for Rajan Kumar Rajesh Kumar & Co. The trains are constantly coming and going, which sets the rhythm for our day. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. It’s a traditional market area, so there’s always a lot of shouting and haggling going on outside our doors. Our space is functional, nothing too special to look at. We mostly focus on our trade and making sure our clients get what they need. Sometimes the narrow streets get blocked by carts, and we have to wait it out. It's just part of being in Fenton Ganj. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters for us. It’s just us doing the daily chores. My brother and I, along with a few others, handle the stock. We see a lot of different people every day since the station is so close. You get a real mix of folks coming through. The building shows its age a bit, but it’s sturdy and serves its purpose. We keep the books manually mostly. It’s a way of life that hasn’t changed much over the years. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families when the sun sets. There isn't much more to it than that, just regular daily trading. It keeps us out of trouble.
