Harjit Turner

Harjit Turner is based in the J.B Industrial Estate. We are on Jaspal Bangar Road, right near the Sunny Kharay Dharam Kanda. If you are looking for us, look for the industrial sheds. It is a busy industrial zone with a lot of noise and metalwork going on all around. Our shop is where we do all the turning and machining. There are lathes and tools scattered around the floor. It is usually covered in metal shavings by the end of the day. We spend our hours standing at the machines. It is a bit greasy and loud, but that is the nature of the work. We have a small office at the front where we keep the blueprints and the invoices, but most of us are in the back. The road outside can be quite dusty with all the heavy trucks moving through the estate. We do not have a fancy sign or a reception area. Most people who come here are looking for specific repair work. We just listen to what they need and see if we can get it done on the lathe. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the day fixing them before we can even start an order. There is a tea stall just down the road from J.B Industrial Estate where we usually get our morning fix. It is part of the daily routine for everyone working on Jaspal Bangar Road. We stay until the job is finished, even if it means staying past dark.
