Harjit Engineering Works

We've been here on Khajuri Road for quite a while now. Most folks know us because we're right near Ganesh Dharam Kanta. It’s a busy spot but we like it that way. The shop is usually full of metal parts and the constant sound of machines running. We started Harjit Engineering Works just to do honest work and help out with whatever needs building or fixing. It’s not a fancy office. We have grease on our hands and dust on the floor, but that's just how engineering shops are. My brother and I mostly handle the daily stuff. Sometimes it’s quiet, other days we are rushing to finish a job by sundown. We don't have a big website or a marketing team. If you walk past the Dharam Kanta, you’ll see our sign. People stop by to ask for advice on parts or just to see if we can weld something that broke. We try to keep things simple here. There’s no point in overcomplicating a job when a straightforward fix will do. We’ve seen the road change over the years, more trucks now than there used to be. But the way we work hasn't changed much. We just show up, open the shutters, and get to it. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to be the biggest in town, just reliable enough that people come back when they have a problem. The tea stall nearby is where we spend our breaks, just talking about the day. It’s a good life.
