Vision Architect

We started Vision Architect here in Jaipur at Hari Marg a while back. It’s just a small office where we handle building plans and drawings. Most days we are busy looking at blueprints or visiting sites around the city. We don't have a big fancy team, just a few people who know how to get the measurements right. People come to us when they want to build a house or change their shop layout. Rajasthan weather is tricky, so we think about that quite a bit in our drawings. Sometimes we get behind on paperwork because we're out on the field, but we try to keep things moving as best as we can. M-18 is where we sit, usually with a cup of tea and a lot of papers scattered around. It’s nothing too special, just honest work. We spend a lot of time arguing over where a wall should go or how to save a bit of space in a small plot. Designing stuff is harder than it looks on paper. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. We keep the doors open for anyone who needs a plan drawn up without a lot of fuss. It gets dusty in the office with all the files, but that’s how it is. We just want to make sure the buildings don't fall down and look okay for the neighbors. It’s a job like any other, but we enjoy seeing the actual bricks going up after we finish the lines.
