Our gallery is tucked away on Dashera Kothi Road which is near the Amer Road area. It is 54-B in the Govind Nagar East Extension and it is a fairly quiet spot compared to the main tourist roads. We have paintings and frames all over the place. Some are hanging on the walls and others are just leaning against the floorboards because we ran out of space. It is not a very formal place. We don't wear suits or act like we are in a museum. Most of the time I am in the back working on a frame or cleaning the glass for a new piece. We get a bit of dust because of the road outside so I am always wiping things down with a soft cloth. The light in the morning is quite good for looking at the colors in the art. We know the other shop owners on the street and we often chat while having tea in the afternoons. People come in just to look around and that is fine with us. We don't try to push anyone to buy anything. We just like having the art around us. It is a bit messy with the bubble wrap and the cardboard in the corners but that is just how a working gallery looks. We are happy being here near the old parts of the city and doing things at our own pace. It is a peaceful way to spend the day.
