Ganpati Art N Frames

Ganpati Art N Frames is a small shop located at Nehru Bazar 25. We have been working out of this space for quite a few years now, and the place is basically filled with bits of wood and glass. It is not a very big shop, so we have to be careful where we step so we don't trip over a frame waiting to be finished. The walls are covered from top to bottom with different types of moldings and samples that people can choose from. Nehru Bazar is always noisy and dusty, so a lot of our time is actually spent just wiping down the glass so everything looks clear. We don't have a big team or fancy machines, just a few tools that have been with us for a long time. People bring in all sorts of things, from old family photos that are starting to fade to new paintings they want to hang up in their homes. We just take the measurements and get to work. It’s a lot of manual labor, cutting the wood and making sure the glass fits just right without any gaps. Sometimes we have a lot of orders and the shop gets even more crowded, but we just work through them one by one. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. We don't have any big corporate plans, just staying here and doing the framing for whoever needs it.
