You can find us at Plot No. 55, right across from Golimar Garden. We are very close to the Jal Mahal on Amer Road, so there are always lots of tourists and buses passing by outside. The gallery itself isn’t huge, but we’ve managed to fit a lot into the space. We have paintings and different art pieces leaning against the walls and hanging from whatever hooks we can find. It smells a bit like paint and old wood in here, which I personally like. My uncle started this place a long time ago, and I’ve been helping out since I was a kid. We don’t have a fancy lighting system, just the natural light from the windows and some basic bulbs. Sometimes the monkeys from the hills come down and hang out on our roof, which can be noisy. We spend our days dusting the frames and talking to people who wander in after seeing the lake. It is a pretty casual atmosphere. We don’t push people to buy things; we just let them look around. The traffic on Amer Road is loud, but once you step inside, it’s a bit quieter. We try to keep things local and simple. It’s a lot of work to keep the gallery clean with all the dust from the road, and sometimes the front door sticks if it's humid. It is just how it is.
