Udaipur Art Gallery

You can find Udaipur Art Gallery located at 55 Amer Road, which is quite close to the Jal Mahal. Being near the water means we get a lot of people stopping in after they have been out looking at the sights. Our building is an older one, and we have been here for a good while. Inside, we have packed the walls with all sorts of different pieces that we have collected over the years. It is not like those big, empty modern galleries you see in magazines. Ours is a bit more lived-in and crowded. We spend a lot of our time organizing the frames and making sure everything looks decent for whoever walks in. Sometimes the traffic on Amer Road gets a bit loud, but inside it stays mostly quiet. We do not really go for anything too flashy. It is just a place where art sits until someone decides they want to take it home. Most days it is just us hanging out and waiting for visitors. We know the area well and have seen how much it has changed with all the tourists coming through to see the palace. We keep the doors open most days of the week. It is a lot of work keeping things clean with all the dust from the road, but we stay on top of it. If you like looking at local work without any pressure, this is where we are.
