We've been here at Chaura Rasta for quite a while now. If you walk down Sounthali Walon Ka Rasta, you’ll find our door easily enough. It’s a busy part of the city, and we spend most of our mornings getting things ready before the heat really sets in. Sometimes the street gets so crowded that people can barely walk past the shop. We keep the shelves stocked with whatever people usually ask for when they stop by. This isn't a fancy place, just a regular shop where we do our work every day. Most of the people who come in are locals who live nearby or work in the other shops around here. We know many of them by face and occasionally have a quick chat while they wait for their change. The floor gets dusty because of all the traffic outside, so we’re constantly sweeping. It's just a normal routine for us. We open up early and stay until the evening rush finally slows down. There’s always something to do, whether it’s checking the bags or making sure things are tidy on the racks. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. It’s been this way for years. You get used to the noise of the bazaar after a while. It’s home for us, really. We just try to keep things simple and get through the day’s tasks. That is pretty much how it goes here.
