The Khazana Art Gallery

If you find yourself on Amer Road, you’ll see us right across from Channi Carpets. Our gallery isn't one of those quiet, chilly places where you have to whisper. We are right on Mount Road, so there is always a bit of dust and the sound of traffic coming through the door. We have been here for a long time, and the walls are pretty much covered from top to bottom with whatever we happen to have in at the moment. Some days it’s mostly tourists walking in after seeing the sights nearby, and other days it’s just locals looking for something specific. We don't spend much time on fancy lighting or expensive displays. We just put the pieces out where people can see them. Sometimes we have to move things around to make space for a new delivery, and things can get a bit messy for a while. We usually have a pot of tea going in the back, and the smell of old wood and paint is always in the air. It’s a small operation, and we do most of the cleaning and packing ourselves. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just find us because we’ve been here forever and the location is easy to spot once you know where Channi Carpets is. We usually close up early on Sundays if the street is quiet.
