Swarn Chains

Our place is at 152, Msb Ka Rasta, just a short walk from Ratnsagar in Johari Bazar. If you know this area well, you know how narrow and crowded the lanes can get during the day. Swarn Chains isn't a big fancy store; it is more of a functional spot where the actual work happens. We mostly focus on making chains, and the work tables are usually covered in small links and bits of wire. It is a bit cramped inside the shop, especially when we have a few people visiting us at the same time. Johari Bazar is famous for all kinds of jewelry, but we just feel like another regular part of the street. We don't have a big mission statement or any formal goals written down. We just wake up, come to the shop, and start working on whatever needs to be finished that day. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a quick break for ten minutes to chat. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about things like that. We have known the other shop owners on Msb Ka Rasta for many years, and we help each other out when someone is in a bind. It is a very local way of living and working. It is honest work and it keeps us busy. (249 words)
