It is a family-run kind of thing, so you will often see different family members helping out behind the counter. The morning starts early for us because we have to get everything ready before the crowds arrive. It smells like sugar and ghee in here most of the time, which isn't a bad thing at all. We don't use any fancy machines for everything; a lot of it is done by hand because that is how we learned to do it. The shop isn't very big, but we manage to fit a lot of variety onto the shelves. Sometimes the floor gets a bit sticky when we are busy, but we try to keep things as tidy as possible. We don't really advertise or do anything like that. People just know we are here because they have been coming to us for years. If you are walking down Tonk Road, it is hard to miss us. We just focus on making things that taste good and making sure people leave with what they wanted. It is hard work and the kitchen stays hot, but seeing people enjoy what we make makes it worth it. We are just a local spot doing our best every day and keeping the tradition going as well as we can.
