Shrinath Art Gallery

Shrinath Art Gallery is tucked away in Ramganj Bazar at A 20. If you know the Ramganj Bazaar area, you know it can be a very lively place with lots of shops and people. We have our space here where we keep various pieces and work on our projects. It is not a sterile museum type of place; it is more like a working shop. There is usually dust on the frames and the smell of paint or wood in the air. We have things leaning against the walls and stacked in corners because we run out of shelf space quite often. A 20 isn't a huge unit, so we have to be careful where we step. We have been here for a while and the locals know where to find us. Sometimes people just walk in to look around while they are doing their grocery shopping nearby. We don't mind. It is a very relaxed environment. The lighting is okay during the day when the sun comes through the front, but we use extra lamps in the back. We just do our thing here and don't worry too much about being fancy. It is a place for art and craft, but it is also our daily job. We keep the doors open and see who stops by. It is just a small part of the busy life in Ramganj Bazar. We don't use any complicated systems, just pen and paper to keep track of things.
