We are located at 136 Ajmer Road in Mahatma Gandhi Nagar, right in the DCM area. If you’ve ever driven down this road, you’ve probably seen plenty of shops like ours. We work with marble, specifically making moortis and other stone pieces. The shop is usually covered in a thin layer of white dust from the carving and sanding. That’s just part of working with stone every day. We have various pieces on display, some finished and some just started. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy blocks and using tools that make a fair bit of noise. The traffic on Ajmer Road is always buzzing, so it’s never really quiet here. We don't have a polished showroom with carpets. It’s a practical workspace where the floor is hard and the tools are always within reach. Most of the people who work here have been doing this for years. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe the stone. It’s just about how the marble looks and the time put into the carving. Sometimes a piece takes longer than expected if the stone has a flaw we didn't see at first. We just deal with it as it comes. It’s a traditional kind of business. We stay busy with orders for local homes and temples nearby. It’s just regular daily labor in the dust and sun, making sure the figures look right before they leave.
