Shri Ramdev Mishthan Bhandar

Shri Ramdev Mishthan Bhandar is out on Ajmer Road at DCM 102. Since we are on a main road, there is a lot of dust that comes in from the trucks and buses passing by. We have to wipe the glass counters down every hour just to keep them looking okay. It’s a bit noisier than a shop inside a bazaar because the vehicles are moving fast. The shop itself is quite simple. We have the sweets in the front and the kitchen in the back. DCM is a busy area with a lot of people working nearby in the warehouses and offices. They come in during their breaks. We don’t have much in the way of style, just the name on the board and the stuff we make. Sometimes the sun gets really hot on this road and the pavement feels like it’s melting. We just stay inside under the fans. We’ve been at 102 for a while and the building is getting a bit old. There are some cracks in the floor and the door doesn't always close right. But it works for us. We don’t have any big plans to change things. We just keep making the sweets and putting them in the boxes. It’s a steady kind of life here on Ajmer Road. There is always something moving outside and it keeps us from getting bored.
