Shri Ram Sweets

Over at Adarsh Nagar Adarsh Market 24, you will find our shop, Shri Ram Sweets. We have been working in this market for a good while now. Every morning starts the same way with the big kadhais getting heated up and the smell of sugar filling the air. It’s a small place and things can get a bit messy when we are in the middle of making a big batch of something. We don't use any fancy machines, mostly just doing things by hand like it’s always been done. The counters are glass and we try to keep them clean, but with people coming in and out all day, it’s a constant job. Adarsh Market is a lively spot so we see all our neighbors regularly. They come in for a quick bite or to take something home for their families. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the recipes. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected if the morning crowd is big. We don't do any big advertising or anything. People just know we are here because of the smell of the sweets cooking. It’s a lot of standing on our feet and dealing with the heat from the stove, but it’s what we do. It’s a simple shop where we just make sweets and serve the people who walk through the door. We hope to stay here doing this for many more years to come.
