Shri Krishna

Shri Krishna is our little place located in Vidhyadhar Nagar on Mall Road, specifically at Sec-1, A-3. It’s a good spot because a lot of people walk by here in the evenings when the weather cools down. We keep the shop open for long hours to make sure we are around when someone needs something. The space is filled with all kinds of daily items that people use in their homes. We spend a lot of time just putting things back on the shelves and making sure nothing is past its date. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting for the next person to come in. We get to know the families living in Section 1 pretty well. You see the kids growing up and the older folks going for their daily walks. We aren't trying to build an empire or anything like that. We just want to run a decent shop where people can get what they need without a lot of trouble. The Mall Road can get a bit noisy with the cars, but inside it’s usually just the sound of the ceiling fan and some quiet talk. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just try to be here when the shutters go up and stay until it’s time to sleep. It’s a quiet way to make a living and we are happy with how things are.
