Ranas

Ranas is located right in the thick of things at B - 78 in Indira Bazar. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets, especially on weekends. Our shop is one of many along this stretch. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as much as possible on the shelves. There is always noise from the street outside—horns honking and people shouting. It’s just part of the background here. We open up early enough to catch the morning crowd. Most days, I’m the one sitting behind the counter, checking the inventory. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us making sure everything is in its place. The floor is a bit worn down from all the foot traffic over the years. We haven't bothered fixing it much because it gives the place character. Customers come in looking for specific things, and we do our best to find them in the stacks. Sometimes it takes a minute to dig something out from the back. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights and music. It’s just a practical space where we do our business. Indira Bazar is a tough place to navigate, but we’ve been here long enough that we don't mind the chaos. It’s just how life is in this market. We keep things simple and honest, and people seem to appreciate that when they stop by B-78.
