Shri Jodhpur Misthan Bhandar

Shri Jodhpur Misthan Bhandar is located in Vaishali Nagar on Gandhi Path, right at Queens Road B-8. It’s a corner that gets a lot of people passing by throughout the day. We started this shop because we knew how to make good sweets and there was a gap in this neighborhood. The building isn't very new, but we try to keep it tidy. Inside, you’ll find the typical setup with glass cases and some metal stools if someone wants to sit for a minute. We make kachoris in the morning and they usually sell out pretty fast because they are hot. The oil is always bubbling and the smell drifts out onto the main road. My brother and I manage the front while the cooks stay in the back where the big pans are. It’s hard work, especially in the heat of the summer when the stoves are going all day. But we’ve got a good routine down now. We don't spend money on big posters or fancy signs. People in Vaishali Nagar just know us by word of mouth from their neighbors. Sometimes the traffic at the Queens Road junction makes it hard for people to park their cars, but they still find a way to get to us. We’ve got all the traditional stuff, nothing that would surprise you. It’s just a solid place for sweets. We show up, we work, and we go home. That's been the story for us at B-8.
