Shri Gopal Pan Bhandar

This little shop is located in Malviya Nagar. We’ve been here for a good number of years now, serving the local community. It’s called Shri Gopal Pan Bhandar, and as the name suggests, we specialize in making pan. It’s a small corner spot, easy to miss if you’re driving fast, but the locals know us well. We keep a variety of betel leaves and all the ingredients to mix up whatever kind of pan a customer wants. Whether it’s sweet or something more traditional, we have the jars lined up. We also sell some other small things like candies, soda, and tobacco products. The shop stays open until quite late because that’s when people usually want a pan after their dinner. It’s a simple life, sitting behind the counter and talking to whoever stops by. We’ve seen kids grow up in this neighborhood and now they come here as adults. There isn't much to the place, just a wooden counter and some shelves. We don't do any big advertising. People just know we are here on this street in Malviya Nagar. We try to keep everything clean and organized, though it’s a tight space. It’s just a small part of the daily life in this part of town. We are happy to be here and keep the tradition going. Every day is mostly the same, and we like it that way.
