Shree Shyam Bags

Our shop is located at 397 Govind Rao Ji Ka Rasta in the middle of Chandpole Bazar. If you know the bazar, you know how crowded and loud it gets every single day. Shree Shyam Bags is where we make and sell all kinds of bags. There is usually the sound of sewing machines running in the back and the smell of new fabric everywhere. We have piles of different materials stacked up against the walls. It’s a narrow space, so you have to watch your step when you come in. We deal with a lot of people looking for something sturdy for their daily use. Chandpole is one of those places where everyone is in a hurry, so we try to be quick with our work. Some days the heat in the bazar is really something, so we keep a big water pot near the door. We don't have a computer or any fancy system, we just write everything down in a big ledger book. The street outside is always full of rickshaws and people carrying bundles. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and the shop hasn't changed much over the years. The wooden door is heavy and it takes some strength to pull the shutter down at night. It’s hard work but we like being part of the old market. It’s honest business and it keeps us going.
