It’s a busy road in Mahesh Nagar, and there are always cars and bikes zooming past our front door. We spend most of our day surrounded by piles of zippers, plastic handles, and heavy rolls of cloth. We aren't a big factory or a high-end brand, just a local shop where we make bags for everyday use. Some days are slow and we just sit around and talk, but other days we can't keep up with the noise of the sewing machines. The floor is usually covered in thread scraps and little bits of material we’ve cut away. We don't have a fancy showroom with glass cases. Everything we make is just sitting right there on the shelves or piled up on the work tables. It’s often a bit dusty because of all the traffic on the road outside, but we try to keep the stock clean. We've been here in this spot for a good while now. People from the neighborhood stop by when their old bags rip or when their kids need something new for school. We don't do much talking, just show what we have and tell them the price. It's very straightforward. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the entrance, but we just move the bags. It’s a real place with real work happening.
