You can find Shree Ram Misthan Bhandar at Chandpole Bazar 129. This part of the city is always full of life, especially in the mornings when the market first wakes up. Our shop is just one of many along the row, but we have our own way of doing things. We have big trays of sweets lined up behind the glass. Some of them are bright colors and some are just plain. We don't spend much time on decorations; we just put them out as they are finished. The smell of sugar is always there, sticking to our clothes by the end of the day. Chandpole is a place where you hear everything—cows, rickshaws, and people arguing over prices. At 129, we just try to keep things moving. The ceiling is high but it gets dark in the back where we do the cooking. We have a few old fans that make a lot of noise but they help with the heat from the stoves. Every now and then, someone stops in just to get out of the sun for a minute. We don’t mind. It’s a tight community here and we’ve been part of it for a long time. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the shop and the address. It’s enough for us to keep the business going every day without much trouble.
