Shree Khandelwal Sweet Shop

We run Shree Khandelwal Sweet Shop, and you can find us in the Renwal area, specifically near Johri Bajar and the G P O Bhadhaal. This is a family-run business that has been passed down, so we do things the way we were taught a long time ago. We don't use a lot of machines because we think the old ways of making sweets are still better for the taste. The shop opens early so we can start making the fresh batches for the day. Renwal is a place where people still appreciate tradition, so we fit in pretty well here. We have all the basic items like laddoos and barfis that everyone likes. It’s a lot of standing around hot stoves, especially in the summers, but we don't mind it much. The shop is usually full of the smell of sugar and ghee, which is a nice way to spend the day. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything, just a sign outside and word of mouth from the neighbors. Sometimes we get a bit behind on orders when there is a big wedding in town, but we do our best to catch up. It’s a solid, honest business that we take pride in every single day. We just want to keep the tradition going for as long as we can.
