Shree Ganesh Namkeen Bhandar

We are located in Chaura Rasta, specifically at Sonthali Walo Ka Rasta, SMS Highway Shop No 4. If you know this area, you know how packed it gets. The lanes are narrow and there is always a crowd of shoppers and scooters zipping past. Our shop is small, and most of the space is taken up by the big glass jars filled with different kinds of namkeen. We spend most of the day weighing out bags and chatting with the people who stop by. The air smells like toasted lentils and spices. It is a bit loud because of all the shouting from the other vendors nearby. We do not have a lot of room to sit down, so we are usually on our feet from the moment we open. Shop No 4 has been our home for a long time. The floor is made of old stone and the walls have some cracks, but it is ours. We do not use fancy packaging, just plain bags that we tie up with a bit of string or tape. Sometimes when the festival season hits, the line goes right out into the alley and things get a bit chaotic. We try to keep up but sometimes we run out of the popular items by mid-afternoon. Chaura Rasta is a historic place, and being a part of it feels right. We do not bother with advertisements or big flashy signs because everyone knows us.
