Sharma Sweets

Sharma Sweets has been at Sector 10, plot 35, in the Agarwal Farm area of Mansarovar for a long time. It’s a quiet part of the neighborhood compared to the busy main roads. We like it that way. The shop is small and we don't have a lot of staff helping out. Usually, it’s just a couple of us handling everything from the cooking to the cleaning. We make our sweets fresh in the morning and they usually last until the evening. We don't like keeping things for several days. If it's gone, it's gone and we make more the next day. The counter is made of old wood and the display glass has quite a few scratches from over the years. It’s a real place where real work happens every day. We don’t use any corporate slogans or marketing tricks. We just tell people what is fresh today. Sometimes we sit outside on little stools when it’s not too busy. We watch the cars go by and talk to the neighbors about the weather. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. Most of our customers live within walking distance. They come in their house slippers sometimes just to get a little something to eat after dinner. We know their preferences and what their kids like. It feels more like a community spot than a big business. We just keep doing what we’ve always done at 35 Agarwal Farm. It works for everyone involved. It’s a quiet life.
