Shankarwalas Sweets & Namkeens

We are located over at Malviya Nagar, specifically around the Balaji Mode area on Jagatpura Road. The shop is units 15 and 16, so we have a bit of space to move around, but it still gets crowded when the morning rush starts. People around here really like their snacks, so we stay on our feet most of the day. Shankarwalas has been a part of this neighborhood for a while now. You can usually smell what we're cooking from down the street, especially when the wind is blowing towards the main road. It gets really hot in the back where the large pans are, but that's just part of the job. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or big advertisements. We just focus on keeping the trays full and the front counter clean for the next person. Sometimes we run out of certain items earlier than we expected and people get a bit annoyed, but we just tell them to come back tomorrow morning. The Jagatpura Road is always under some kind of construction it seems, but folks still find their way to us through the dust. We have a few old wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait for their orders. It’s a bit noisy with the traffic at Balaji Mode, but it’s our home. The staff is mostly family or guys who have been with us for years. We just keep doing what we do every day.
